Be There Green
Be there green be there when I wake in the spring
Be there when I open my eyes
Be there when I reach for a fresh piece of new growth
Be there when I need a lift to my senses
Be there to smell the earth and be intoxicated
By the green of the hills and the green
Of my dreams.
In the green of my dreams I saw a meadow
Suspended
In a cloud
A dream of youth and hope
And sweet nectar in green.
The green of believing in tomorrow
In a green tomorrow not with disease and sorrow
And cold and feeling hollow
But the green of spring and of youth
And of hope
Be there green when I reach the end
Of the road of the journey of the path
Of the yearning of the cycle
Where the green is the color of life and
Of dreams and of hope and of growth
Of magic and of memory
Of mystery and of miracles
Of rebirth and awakening.
Be there green
When I awake in the Spring
When I open my eyes to lift my senses.
